We at Kili2Sere are passionate about Tanzania and want to provide an unforgettable and positively impactful experience where you not only receive quality service but, if you choose to, get to meet the young Tanzanians whose lives you will make better.

The founder of Kili2Sere is grateful and feels lucky to have received overseas sponsorship to finish school and study tourism at college. However, understands that overseas sponsorship is not sustainable.

The founder of Kili2Sere wants to use their 10 plus years of experience working in the tourism sector, and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, to provide a long-term solution in supporting the young Tanzanian generation. To do this, Kili2Sere uses 25% of their profits to help porters attend and finish college studies. This is on top of the 100% salary and tips that porters receive.

Another 25% of Kili2Sere’s profits go towards kids growing in difficult environments and attending government schools. This support is provided by getting basic school essentials like, books and pens, school uniforms and shoes, and transport fees for those who live far from school.

The remaining 50% of profits is used for running Kili2Sere, including providing quality equipment and transport for customers like you, paying all working for us a good salary, and paying government taxes.

You are welcome to meet the local school kids whose lives you are making a positive difference by choosing Kili2Sere. We can organise a meeting either before or after your trekking, local tourism/cultural activities, or safari adventure through Kili2Sere.

Who we are

Kili2Sere is a local company created by a local Tanzanian to support poor communities in Tanzania.

This website has been created by a local Tanzanian youth whose higher education was financed by overseas sponsors. The founder of Kili2Sere is a local Tanzanian with 3 years’ experience as a Porter and over 7 years’ experience as a Guide climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

The founder grew up with a single mother of five and, like most young Tanzanians, could not afford to pay the school fees. Being lucky enough to be sponsored by an overseas sponsor, the founder attended a tourism college. Being grateful for this experience, the founder has continued to support others like him. For example, finding jobs as porters for school leavers and young adults little education and ensuring these youths received 100% of their salary and tips.

The founder of Kili2Sere has created this company as a way to go that extra mile in supporting local disadvantaged and poor communities. The founder is motivated to support those who cannot afford to pay for school fees or higher education by allowing them opportunities in the tourism sector. As there is no “middle person” in Kili2Sere, more than 50% of the profits go directly to the local community.

So, by choosing Kili2Sere for your trekking, local tourism/cultural activities, and safari needs, you will be part of a movement fighting against poverty in Tanzania.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us!
