At Kili2Sere Adventure, we are passionate about Tanzania and committed to providing unforgettable, meaningful experiences. Our goal is to offer not only exceptional service but also the opportunity—if you choose—to meet the young Tanzanians whose lives you help improve by traveling with us.
Our founder feels incredibly grateful to have received overseas sponsorship to complete school and study tourism at college. However, they recognize that overseas sponsorship is not a sustainable solution.
With over 10 years of experience in the tourism sector, including extensive climbs of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, our founder is dedicated to creating long-term, community-driven impact. To support the next generation of Tanzanians, Kili2Sere donates 25% of our profits to help mountain porters attend and complete college education. This is in addition to paying them 100% of their salary and tips.
Another 25% of our profits goes toward supporting children in challenging environments who attend government schools. This includes providing basic school essentials such as books, pens, uniforms, shoes, and transportation fees for those who live far from school.
The remaining 50% of our profits is used to run Kili2Sere. This ensures we maintain high-quality equipment and transport for our guests, pay fair wages to all our staff, and meet government tax obligations.
You are warmly welcome to meet the local school children whose lives you’re helping to transform by choosing Kili2Sere. We can arrange a visit before or after your trek, safari, or local cultural activities.
Who we are
Kili2Sere Adventure is a local tourism company founded by a Tanzanian native with a deep commitment to supporting disadvantaged communities in Tanzania.
This website was created by a young Tanzanian whose higher education was made possible through the generosity of overseas sponsors. The founder of Kili2Sere brings over 10 years of experience in Tanzania’s tourism sector, having worked for 3 years as a porter and more than 7 years as a guide climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.
Raised by a single mother of five kids, the founder—like many young Tanzanians—struggled to afford school fees. Thanks to the support of a sponsor, he was able to attend a tourism college. Grateful for this opportunity, he has made it his mission to give back by helping others in similar situations. This includes finding work for school leavers and young adults with limited education as porters and ensuring they receive 100% of their salaries and tips.
Kili2Sere was established to go the extra mile in supporting poor and marginalized communities. The founder is passionate about creating educational and employment opportunities within the tourism sector for those who would otherwise be left behind. With no “middle person” involved, over 50% of the company’s profits go directly to supporting the local community.
By choosing Kili2Sere for your trekking, cultural tours, and safari experiences, you’re not only enjoying an unforgettable adventure—you’re also contributing to a meaningful cause and helping fight poverty in Tanzania.
Our vision
To make it financially possible for young Tanzanians to complete their education and pursue higher learning.
To provide meaningful job opportunities for youth in the tourism sector, empowering them with skills and sustainable income.
To create unforgettable experiences for our guests by offering high-quality services and genuine cultural connections—giving you the chance to meet and positively impact the lives of local Tanzanians.
When you choose Kili2Sere for your adventure you can be sure that you’re making a positive impact to local Tanzanians’ future!

Gideon Nnkya

Gideon is a proud ambassador of Kilimanjaro and his home country, Tanzania. On the long hikes to the summit of Kili, he happily shares his expert knowledge and entertaining anecdotes to keep your spirits high. Starting out as a porter, Gideon realized early on that he wanted to climb the career ladder and become a guide. In 2019, he attended the African Wildlife College in Moshi, where he graduated and subsequently joined first aid courses, including Wilderness First Responder (WFR). Every year, we ensure that he participates in the WFR course to stay updated.

You can expect empathy and encouragement from someone who understands the triumph of conquering the highest mountain in Africa.
Baraka Mollel
Mountain Guide
Since 2013 Baraka has guided travelers from around the world to Uhuru Peak, drawing on his invaluable mountaineering experience. As the warm sun began to rise, Baraka regained his strength and successfully reached the summit.
As the Head Guide, he carries the responsibility not only for your safety but also for every assistant guide, porter, and waiter on his team. He skillfully assesses when to encourage climbers to continue and when it is necessary to call off a climb to ensure everyone’s safety.
