Kilimanjaro costs

๐Ÿค” How much money do you need to climb Kilimanjaro?

Since you’re not going to be able to take your fancy house, car, or clothes to the grave with you, at kili2sere company we believe that a life well-lived is all about what you do, not what you have.
So, yes, climbing Kili is certainly an investment, and you may have to forego cluttering up your house with a few more trinkets to be able to afford it, but it’s an investment that our clients repeatedly tell us they wouldn’t have given up for anything.

When budgeting for a trek, then, you’ll also need to consider the following costs.

1: flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport ๐Ÿ‘‰ this varies from $400-$1200 These are very approximated and will differ depending on whether you’re flying in from the US, UK, South Africa, Malaysia, or Australia

2: Clothing & equipment for Kilimanjaro ๐Ÿ‘‰ could set you back USD 400 – 1,000, but you can reduce some costs by hiring (sometimes we recommend hiring equipment from here if you know you just climbing for once because you can buy a lot of equipment and you can’t use it again if you don’t have another hiking )

3: Visa for Tanzania ๐Ÿ‘‰ will cost USD 100 if you’re American, or else USD 50

4: Tips ๐Ÿ‘‰ to the mountain crews, and normal is divided into three categories guide, $20-25 per day
cook, $15-17 per day
Porter, $10-12per day
So the tip depends on the big of the crew and the days you spend on the mountain,

4: traveling insurance๐Ÿ‘‰ coast it depends on the kind of insurance you want

NOTE: if you are planning to visit Zanzibar after hiking or before hiking, you support having Zanzibar insurance no matter whether you have another insurance or not, this kind of insurance is mandatory for all clients who visit Zanzibar,
