After breakfast and a briefing with your mountain guide, you will travel to Marangu Gate, where registration formalities are completed before beginning your Kilimanjaro adventure.
The first day of trekking takes you through the lush rainforest of Kilimanjaro National Park. The trail is scenic and relatively gentle, surrounded by towering trees, tropical vegetation and the sounds of the forest. Keep an eye out for blue monkeys and other wildlife that can occasionally be seen among the trees.
You will arrive at Mandara Hut in the afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy your first evening on the mountain. If time and energy allow, you may take a short walk to Maundi Crater for views of the surrounding landscape.

After breakfast, your trek continues as the rainforest gradually gives way to open moorland. The scenery changes dramatically, offering wider views of the mountain and the surrounding landscapes.
As you gain altitude, the vegetation becomes shorter and the environment more open. Along the way, you may enjoy views toward Mawenzi Peak, one of Kilimanjaro's spectacular volcanic cones.
Arrive at Horombo Hut, your home for the night. Take time to rest, hydrate and allow your body to adjust to the increasing altitude.

Habitat: Alpine Desert
Today's trek takes you into the dramatic alpine desert zone. After leaving Horombo Hut, the route crosses the Saddle, a wide and open landscape located between the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo.
The scenery becomes increasingly rugged and otherworldly as vegetation becomes scarce. You will continue toward Kibo Hut, located at the base of the summit route.
After arriving, enjoy an early dinner and prepare your equipment for the summit attempt. You will rest for a few hours before beginning your climb shortly after midnight.

Elevation: 4,703 m to 5,895 m to 3,720 m
Distance: Approximately 22 km
Hiking Time: 12–15 hours
Habitat: Arctic Zone to Moorland
This is the most challenging and rewarding day of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
Your summit attempt begins around midnight as you climb slowly through the darkness toward Gillman's Point on the crater rim. The trail is steep and demanding, and your guides will support and encourage you as you make your way toward the summit.
From Gillman's Point, continue along the crater rim toward Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the highest point in Africa. Reaching the summit is an unforgettable achievement and a moment to celebrate your journey to the Roof of Africa.
After taking photos and enjoying the experience, begin your descent back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut. The descent can be long and tiring, but the lower altitude will bring welcome relief.

After breakfast, begin your final descent through the changing landscapes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The route takes you from the open moorland back into the lush rainforest as you make your way toward Marangu Gate.
Upon arrival at the gate, successful climbers will receive their Kilimanjaro summit certificates. Take a moment to celebrate your incredible achievement before transferring back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, where you can relax and reflect on your unforgettable journey.
